What you will learn:
I have designed the workshop to be a cross between art camp for adults and a travel workshop, but without having to leave home. This week will be fun, creative and is sure to expand your photography skills. During this wonderful summer workshop we will be lecturing on the creative side of photography, photographing energetic models at interesting locations, and receiving feedback on your photos daily. To create a more intimate learning atmosphere the class size is limited to 10 participants.  “People and Places” is a special experience that only happens once a year- don’t miss out!

The following is the itinerary for the 2012 People & Places workshop.  For 2013 the format for this workshop will be similar, but at completely different locations.  I will create the new itinerary by mid January 2013.

On Monday we will be doing 3D nature photography with renowned photographer Simon Bell.

Tuesday we will be photographing models at "Studio 32" an abandoned barn in the country which is a "hot spot" for local photographers.

Wednesday will feature a morning with Walter Sawka who will co-critique your photos and show his newest landscape photography from Scotland.  In the afternoon we'll be going to The Halton Railcar Museum to photograph models with vintage streetcars and trains.

Thursday will be a field trip into Toronto with a private tour of the Stephan Bulgar photo gallery, lunch and street photography in the heart of Kensington Market and a refreshing ferry ride to Ward's Island.  While there, we will enjoy a relaxed dinner at "Island Cafe" and have the opportunity to photograph a unique perspective of the city skyline at sunset.

On the Friday we will spend the whole day editing including a special session with Scott Mooney, TKP's photo retouching expert.  With each participant's favorite photo, Scott will demonstrate how to take the art of the image to the next level using the incredible tools available in Photoshop.  Our week will wrap up with a "Top 10" class slideshow and a potluck summer dinner together.
